What is Content Remix?

Imagine your podcast episode transformed into an easy-to-read, narrative-style article. That’s what we make happen.

Content Remix isn’t a transcription service where we go in and recap your podcast episode word-for-word. Instead, we focus on recapping the major themes, stories, and highlights you covered and building that into a thoughtful, shareable article.

Why create articles out of podcasts?

Most podcast hosts spend countless hours prepping, recording, and producing their episodes. It’s a hell of a lot of work to create a professional-level podcast that attracts new listeners.

So why would you invest so much time and energy into creating original, top-notch material...and just leave it in one format?

Authors have known for a while that their writing reaches more people when it's made available in multiple formats (hello, audiobooks!)

So why isn’t your podcast following that approach, too?

Think about it: The audio format isn’t everyone’s first choice, so why not expand your reach and offer up a written version as well?

That’s where Content Remix comes in.

You’re busy doing what you do best: Producing your podcast. We come in as a partner you can hand off material to so it gets repackaged into easy-to-read, shareable articles that help boost your website traffic (and so much more.)

Absolutely love content remix. The turnaround was incredibly fast, and if you’re not repurposing your podcasts and interviews you’re missing out on HUGE content opportunities.
— Hannah Cameron, Director of Content

Why you need this?

Get more mileage out of existing podcast content.

You work hard to come up with interesting episode topics, record your podcast, and coordinate guest interviews—so you want to repurpose that stellar content into another format to maximize your time investment.

SEO benefits.

Did you know data shows 53.3% of all website traffic comes from organic search? If you’re not turning your podcast episodes into blog posts, you’re missing out on a huge opportunity to drive organic traffic to your site, to attract new listeners, and more. Plus: Research shows that websites with more than 40 blog posts can increase site traffic by as much as 30%.

Expanded reach.

Research shows only 32% of Americans listen to podcasts at least once a month. Want more reach? Transform that material into blog posts. Plus: blog posts are 3.5x more likely to get shared on social media than podcasts. If you’re working to grow your audience, this is a no-brainer.

Ready-to-go email material.

Want to get better at leveraging your email list? Along with announcements of new episode releases, you can also spotlight your blog post summaries for those who want a written podcast recap in their inbox. It might even be the nudge that piques their interest and gets them to listen to the full episode.

Added value for podcast sponsorships.

Increase revenue from your podcast sponsors by promoting a value-add: A sponsor spotlight/link within your blog posts. It’s one more piece of online real estate you can promote. Share stats on website traffic, CTR, etc. and reinforce the value and reach you provide through your audience.

A place to tie-in affiliate partnerships.

For podcasters who sell things on an affiliate basis, blog posts create another environment in which relevant products/services can be promoted to audience members (and drive more revenue for the podcaster.)

Skilled writers.

Don’t feel like writing is your forte...or just don’t have the time to turn your podcast episodes into quality blog content? Our writers are skilled professionals who’ve been vetted and trained to meet our quality standards. With the assistance of AI, our writers will craft a narrative-style post, focusing on key themes and highlights from your podcast episode. Plus: All of their work gets an in-depth review from a professional editor before it reaches you for publishing. You can rest assured we’ll deliver top-notch work every time, on time.

As a podcast host, do any of these describe you?

✅ I know how to do the podcasting side of things, but don’t have the skills or time to repackage it into article format. I’m a one-person operation or have only a small team that’s already at capacity workload-wise.

✅ I lack SEO expertise, but want to drive more organic website traffic to my site with content.

✅ I spend a lot of time and energy creating my podcast, so I want to get maximum mileage out of my episode material so it’s not just a “one-and-done.”

✅ I want to offer a different content format for people who don’t have time to listen to a full podcast episode, but are interested in the material.

✅ I need thoughtful episode summaries I can leverage in an email context that aren’t just messy, unedited transcripts.

✅ I want to make my podcast episodes more shareable on social.

✅ I’m looking for a way to add value for my podcast sponsors so I can raise my sponsorship rates and have additional performance stats to share with those partners.

✅ I want a place where I can leverage affiliate partnerships and include links that drive secondary revenue for the podcast.

✅ I have a backlog of podcast episodes that are currently gathering dust and I want to repackage them to resurface the content and capitalize on missed SEO opportunities.

Nodding along as you read this? Here are some reasons you shouldn’t have your podcast content locked away in an audio-only format:

❌  Zero SEO opportunity to capture organic search traffic for your website.

❌  Audio format means you can’t provide links or calls to action.

❌  No way to skim content (so, no TL;DR version.)

❌  Only rudimentary analytics that don’t offer much performance insight.

❌  Limited opportunity for lead generation and tracking ROI for podcast sponsors.

❌  No way to tie in relevant affiliate partnerships.

On top of all this, here’s what millions of podcast listeners are thinking:

New episodes come out daily and there’s not enough hours in the day to listen them. So, as a podcast host, what can you do?

Give your audience another way to consume your content.

Content Remix will take your podcast episodes and turn them into amazing posts to share on your blog, in a newsletter, and on social media.

Content Remix was made for:

  • Established podcasts. Get extra mileage and a second life out of episodes you’ve already published that are currently gathering dust.

  • New podcasts. Expand your reach to new audiences and reap SEO benefits that come from the written format.

  • Podcasters looking to further monetize. Provide sponsor partners added value with trackable referral links inside your content you can report back on (or tie in affiliate links to drive a secondary revenue stream!)

What are the features?

Our podcast summaries are made with podcast hosts (and the brands behind them) top-of-mind. We understand that you need to reach target audiences in various formats that aren’t limited to audio.

Every article from Content Remix is:

Story-driven: These aren’t mere show notes. Our blog posts are story-driven summaries that pull out the most interesting themes and lessons from your podcast episode and share them in a narrative format.

Audience-focused: Written with your podcast’s niche audience top-of-mind.

Easy to consume: No big blocks of text or long-winded paragraphs. Our writers format content so it’s easy to read, making smart use of short paragraphs, bullet points, and scannable text that’s optimized for standard online reading habits across digital devices.

Clear: Our writing style strives for clarity over cleverness and is both easy to consume and enjoyable to read. We don’t alienate audiences with jargon, business speak, or acronyms and place readability as a top priority.

Search engine optimized: The writer will optimize article headings for SEO based on the key questions covered in the episode, as well as for the subject matter and host/guest’s name.

Shareable: Every post includes two pull quotes that spotlight important insights (these are great for sharing as tweets and can be easily leveraged for social posts across channels.)

Ghostwritten: All work is done in a ghostwritten capacity, written in either first or third person. No attribution to an external writer necessary.

What our service is:

  • A done-for-you service that produces posts you can share right away

  • Narrative-style summary that pulls highlights and themes from a podcast episode

What our service isn’t:

  • Ghostwriting-like experience wherein you collaborate with a writing partner

  • A transcription service with word-for-word recap

Who’s behind this service?

Content Remix was co-founded by Kaleigh and Brandon Moore, a husband and wife team based in the Midwest.

With backgrounds in both professional content writing and marketing roles, we understand both sides of the equation when it comes to content creation and content marketing.

Our mission

Our writers are some of the best. We’re not going to UpWork and finding writers we can pay next to nothing to just crank out an article. Our writers are professionals who have written for companies like Stripe, Shopify, and other world-class operations.

There are a lot of tools out there that say they can automatically turn a podcast episode into an article. Maybe so, but these are often poorly written using half-baked AI. We’re using actual human writers that care about their craft and delivering a high-quality finished product.

Our values

Expanded reach: We know that creating podcasts is a lot of work! That’s exactly why we help podcasters maximize their investment of time and energy by putting their audio into a written format (and making sure it’s story-driven, not just a transcript.)

Clarity: Our writing style strives for clarity over cleverness and is both easy to consume and enjoyable to read. We don’t alienate audiences with jargon, business speak, or acronyms and place readability as a top priority.

Quality writing: Quality is king at Content Remix. We only work with pre-vetted writers who pay attention to detail, follow directions, and deliver top-notch work.

FAQs

1. Is there bulk pricing for multiple podcast episodes?

Yes, we base this on a number of specifics related to your podcast. Please reach out if you’re interested in an ongoing partnership.

2. What’s the average turnaround time?

The average turnaround time is 5-7 business days after the submission of your payment and audio file.

3. Do I get to see the article before it’s finished or can I request edits?

Content Remix is a done-for-you service (and not a back-and-forth between you and one of our writers), so keep in mind this isn’t an iterative process. Once you submit your episode and any notes for the writer, we’ll get to work and deliver a ready-to-use piece. You are, however, more than welcome to make your own edits or tweaks within the piece on your end before it goes live. Rest assured that if you’re not 100% satisfied with the article we’ve created for you, we’ll find a way to make it right.

4. What information do you need from me to get started?

We have a standard format and approach for writing articles that are summary-style recaps, but if you have specific notes on tone, language, or setup you’d like the writer to keep top-of-mind while working, please submit those in the ‘notes’ section during checkout and we’ll pass those along.

5. Can I use these articles in places other than my website?

Finished articles are 100% your property, and you’re welcome to use the content wherever you’d like. Aside from your blog, you can also leverage these articles for newsletter content, pull snippets for social content...you name it. We encourage you to maximize your mileage on this material!

6. How long are the articles you write?

For episodes that are 30-45 minutes long, our team will create a 650-1000 word article for $295. For episodes that are 45-90 minutes long, our team will create a 1250-1500 word article for $395.

7. Do I need to attribute your writer in the article’s byline?

Nope! You’re welcome to list yourself (or a person of your choosing) as the author of the article, or to leave it author-less. It’s 100% your call. There are no attribution requirements on our end.
